Preschool Christmas Art and Ideas

December 14th, 2008 by admin

I love Christmas time, especially with my 3 year old daughter. Today we made a gingerbread train and baked gingerbread men, ladies, snowmen and stars. She loves it.

I am wanting to do more Christmas Art Ideas with her though. I went to YouTube and found this really cool lady from Cullen’s ABC’S. She described how to make MANY Christmas crafts and she did some circle time Christmas songs.

I went to her site and it’s AMAZING!! There is so much there. So many free ideas. The cool part about it is you could watch her doing the crafts on video. That really helps. If you’d have seen me with the gingerbread train today you’d understand why I love demonstration videos.

So check out her site. I know I’ll use many of her ideas for me and my daughter. Enjoy:)

Preschool Art history lesson plans

September 30th, 2008 by admin

Preschool Art history lesson plans are a great way to inspire creativity as well as learning some art history. I found a great website that teaches the craft and gives a little history lesson as well.

I believe it’s important to instill as much learning as possible. While it’s important to give them some crayons and some paper and tell them to be creative and draw a picture of anything they want, I believe sometimes you need structure. A balance between the two is important.

This site is AWESOME for teaching some art history with each craft. The site is http://www.first-school.ws/THEME/artapp.htm I hope you find it as useful and fun for the children as I did. Enjoy!!!
