Isn’t winter a great time of year? I love playing in the snow, Christmastime, hot cocoa by the fire, my nice warm sweaters, all is bliss.
There are so many sinter activities you can do with your preschooler. I know with these recent snowfalls I went sledding with Olihvia, we built 3 snowmen and made tracks in the snow.
Speaking of making tracks in the snow I found a great site with that very activity in it as well as many others. I know I will be using some of the ideas. Check it out.

Well, Hanukkah is here. I believe it’s important to culture our children. Even if they’re not Jewish it’s good for them to have an understanding of other holidays. I found this site that gives MANY sites of free printable hanukkah activities for children. Please check it out.
Happy Holidays

I love Christmas time, especially with my 3 year old daughter. Today we made a gingerbread train and baked gingerbread men, ladies, snowmen and stars. She loves it.
I am wanting to do more Christmas Art Ideas with her though. I went to YouTube and found this really cool lady from Cullen’s ABC’S. She described how to make MANY Christmas crafts and she did some circle time Christmas songs.
I went to her site and it’s AMAZING!! There is so much there. So many free ideas. The cool part about it is you could watch her doing the crafts on video. That really helps. If you’d have seen me with the gingerbread train today you’d understand why I love demonstration videos.
So check out her site. I know I’ll use many of her ideas for me and my daughter. Enjoy:)

AAHH, Christmas time already. Christmas themes and Christmas lesson plans are just great for little ones. They are already excited about this time of year so why not incorporate learning with it?
Christmas is so exciting for little ones isn’t it? I know my daughter is all excited about the gifts under the tree. Every morning she asks me if it’s Christmas yet. I let her know that when all her chocolates are gone in her advent calendar it will be Christmas. (I put her calender out of reach of course, otherwise I may find all her chocolates gone in one day)
It is a great time to teach them christmas math, with counting down the days until Christmas. Christmas reading and history is good too with reading them the story of “The First Christmas“. I found this site that teaches them christmas art and christmas science as well. It looks like some great ideas I’ll try with my daughter.
Check it out.
